Richard H. Kyle

Richard House Kyle (born 1937) is a United States federal judge.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kyle received a B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1959 and an LL.B. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1962. He was a law clerk, Hon. Edward J. Devitt, U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota from 1962 to 1963. He was a State solicitor general of Office of Minnesota State Attorney General from 1968 to 1970. He was in private practice in St. Paul, Minnesota from 1963 to 1992.

Kyle is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Kyle was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on March 20, 1992, to a seat vacated by Robert G. Renner. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 12, 1992, and received his commission on May 13, 1992. He assumed senior status on May 31, 2005.
